  1. I have just spent an intriguing and enjoyable hour exploring your blog. Looking more closely than I have done. Your work is in one sense quite representational, but still conveys an almost abstract quality – I guess it’s about how you (the photographer) and us (looking at the work)’frame’ and interpret, in a way disrupting the view… I’m not familiar enough with the theory / vocabulary to express this clearly. I guess what maters is that these photographs made me think, made me question – and made me smile. Thank you for that.

  2. Thank you, Graham.

You have just given me what is probably the biggest compliment I have ever had on (any of) my pictures. You have read them well. You are right about the abstraction too. Let me, however, comment on that more extensively later.

What more can I want, that these pictures make people think, smile and question? I can’t think of something more satisfying. You have just made my day .. well, actually a little more than that I would think :-).

Thanks for slowviewing the pictures. And thanks for taking the time to comment.

    Good weekend.

  3. Love it – it has a painterly surreal quality & I can’t figure out how many levels of stairs there are and what is reflected.

  4. Many thanks Lynn.

This image is a b&w conversion of a colour picture that I made some time ago. I think the colour version is better in terms of detecting what is going on. Please take a look http://not.contaxg.com/document.php?id=25976&full=1

Let me hear what you think :-). Have a good day.
